Charles II. 1678-1683 - AR-Medaille (91,66g), (61mm) o.J. (1670) von J. Roettier. Auf die Freilassung von Giles Strangways nach zweijähriger Gefangenschaft im Londoner Tower. Av.: Brustbild des Politikers. Rv.: DECVSQVE ADVERSA DEDERVNT, Ansicht des Towers in Sonnenlicht i. A. INCACERATVS SEPT 1645 LIBERATVS APR 1648. Die Familie Strangway wohnte in Dorset Melbury Sampford und Abbotsbury. Sir Giles war Kommandant der königlichen Armee und wurde während des Bürgerkrieges unter Cromwell vom Parlament verfolgt und eingesperrt. Nach der Restauration kehrte er als Abgeordneter für Dorset ins Parlament zurück. Felder leicht geglättet Eimer:153 s.sch.
